Interviewing for a position can be challenging, especially when you know very little about the company itself.  That's why we have provided you with the most commonly asked candidate questions to help familiarize you with additional facts about Graebel.  If you have any additional questions, please locate the 'Contact Us' tab on the top of the page and contact the recruitier associated with the position directly.

1.  Question- 

What is the Dress Code at Graebel?

      Answer-  

Graebel desires to maintain a clean and professional work environment for all of its employees.  Additionally, employees contribute to the reputation of the Company in the way they present themselves.  Graebel requires its employees to project an image which will inspire confidence to customers, vendors, and visitors.  A detailed dress code is illustrated below:

 Executive Employees--Business Dress (Monday-Thursday)

Men:

  • Suit and tie
  • Sport coat and slacks, and tie
  • Appropriate footwear
Note:  Jackets do not need to be worn except in Customer Meetings.

Women:

  • Suit (skirt or slacks)
  • Dress
  • Tailored slacks with jacket or sweater set
  • Appropriate footwear

Casual Friday

Men:

  • Slacks, Dockers, or a similar pants
  • Polo or knit shirts, open collared oxford shirts or blouses.
  • No t-shirts or tennis shoes

Women:

  • Slacks, Dockers, or a smilar pants
  • Polo or knit shirts, open collared oxford shirts or blouses
  • No t-shirts or tennis shoes

Non-Executive Employees--Business Casual (Monday-Thursday)

Men:

  • Slacks, Dockers, or a similar pant
  • Shirts with collars including polo or knit shirts, or sweaters
  • Graebel logo shirts, sweaters, and pull-overs
  • Ties are optional
  • No T-shirts
  • No jeans
  • No tennis shoes

 

Women:

  • Slacks, Dockers, or similar pant, skirts, and dresses
  • Shirts, shells with sleeves, blouses, or sweaters
  • Open-toed shoes (other than sandals described below)
  • Graebel logo shirts, sweaters, and pull-overs
  • Nylons are optional
  • No T-shirts
  • No jeans
  • No tennis shoes

Casual Friday 

 Men:

  • Blue jeans in good condition
  • Slacks, Dockers, or a similar pants
  • Sweatshirts (hooded sweatshirts in good condition are acceptable;however, hoods are not to be worn in the office.)
  • Tennis shoes
  • T-shirts

 Women:

  • Blue jeans in good condition
  • Slacks, Dockers, or a similar pants
  • Sweatshirts (hooded sweatshirts in good condition are acceptable; however, hoods are not to be worn in the office.)
  • Tennis shoes

 Production Employees

All production associates are required to dress in Graebel Uniform

Clothing that is NEVER Appropriate

  • Halter top shirts or halter top dresses
  • Sleeveless shirts or sleeveless dresses
  • Spaghetti strap shirts or spaghetti strap dresses
  • Casual Sandals (e.g. flip flops, jellies, beach wear, crocs, Birkenstocks and Teva style sandals)
  • Tank Tops
  • Mini skirts or any dress or skirt more than 3' above the knee
  • Hats
  • Jogging suits/wind suits/sweatpants
  • Sloppy, torn, vulgar, graphic T-shirts or sweatshirts, or T-shirts or sweatshirts with large logos
  • Leggings
  • Casual shorts
  • Skorts (that appear as shorts from behind)
  • Midriff shirts
  • Low-cut shirts/dresses
  • Tight clothin
  • Excessively baggy clothing
  • Camouflage wear

 

2. Question

What are some activities that your company does to boost employee morale?

    Answer:   

Graebel Companies provides many activities in order to boost employee morale.

Some of the many activities held are:

  •               Break time Bingo
  •               Holiday Luncheons
  •               Departmental Food Days
  •               Wellness activities and fairs
  •               Periodic approved casual dress attire
  •               Halloween activities and costume contests
  •               Super Bowl Activities (i.e. Punt, Pass, and Kick competition)
  •               Summer Picnic
  •               Employee of the Quarter contests

3.  Question: 

What are the career advancement opportunities at Graebel?

     Answer: 

There are various career pathing opportunities at Graebel.  We require that employees remain employed in the current position for 1 year before applying for other positions within the organization.  We post job opportunities internally on our Graebel intranet for employees to view.  We also provide a Tuition Reimbursement Benefit for our employees as well.  Manager approval is required for this program, but emplyoees have used this benefit to their advantage in order to advance within the organization.  $3000.00 is paid annually toward tuition only.  As stated prior, manager approval is required before an employee can use this program.

4.  Question:

Does Graebel have any involvement with the community?

      Answer:

Graebel has various involvements with the community including Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Adopt a Family, Women's Community, The Chamber of Commerce and the United Way.  Many office locations hold fundraisers and casual week donations to help raise money for these organizations.

5.   Question:

What is the performance review process at Graebel?      

      Answer:      

Graebel recognizes the importance of providing it's employees with an opportunity to discuss their performance status.  Team Members are encouraged to discuss their job, career plans, and goals with their supervisor.  Graebel has implemented a performance review tool called Wingspan to help monitor this process.  This electronic process makes the performance review steps of the self-review, manager review, and face to face performance meeting efficient.  The performance review process occurs yearly starting in February and ending in April.  However, we do encourage departments to conduct six month reviews for new hires so that are aware of their performance status within the company as well.
